Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far in advance should we book our Wedding Photographer?
Most couples book their Wedding Photographer 12–18 months in advance, especially for peak summer and weekend weddings. If you like what you see and would like Joepeg to capture your special day, it’s best to secure us as soon as your date and venue are confirmed.
2. How much does Wedding Photography cost in the UK?
Our prices typically range from £1,500 to £3,000 for a full Wedding Day, depending on coverage, and what’s included (albums, engagement shoots, second shooters, etc.). Always check what’s in the package rather than just comparing prices with other Photographers, as packages can always be tailored to exactly what you want.
3. How many photos will we receive?
On average, a full day wedding gallery will include between 600–800 professionally edited images, depending on the size and style of your wedding.
4. How long will it take to receive our photos?
Most photographers deliver within 6–12 weeks, but we hate to make you wait! We will offer full wedding galleries within 3 weeks and we will always provide a preview or highlight selection within a few days to keep the excitement alive.
5. Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! We cover weddings across the UK and abroad. Travel within a certain radius is usually included, while further travel/accommodation may be added. We will always discuss this on our into meeting.
6. What if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain is part of UK weddings! We know how to work with it. Whether that’s using umbrellas, finding sheltered spots, or embracing moody skies for dramatic shots. Backup plans are always in place.
7. Do we need a second photographer?
A second photographer isn’t essential, but it’s a great option if you want coverage of both partners getting ready, guest reactions, and multiple angles of key moments. The discussion of a second shooter will always be had on our initial intro call and you will never be pressured into adding a second photographer to your package.
8. Will you pose us, or is it natural/candid?
Joepeg Photography is built off a very natural and candid style of Photography. Gentle direction for couple portraits is always encouraged as it helps get those showstopper images, however you wont be forced into ridiculous poses that just aren’t you…unless you want that of course!
9. Can we give you a shot list?
Yes, you will always be aske for a list of important family groupings or must-have moments. For everything else, you can trust that we will capture the natural flow of your day.
10. Do you offer engagement/pre-wedding shoots?
Absolutely!! Engagement shoots are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, test out styles, and have beautiful photos for invites or guest books. We have Engagement shoots included in some of our Wedding Packages and these can always be added on after booking.
11. What happens if you’re ill or can’t attend?
We always have backup plans, including trusted colleagues we can call on. Our contract includes contingency arrangements for emergencies.
12. Are you insured?
Yes, we carry public liability and equipment insurance. Many venues require proof of insurance before allowing a photographer to work at their venues, so we absolutely follow these guidelines.
13. Do you offer albums and prints?
We offer bespoke wedding albums, fine-art prints, and wall art in addition to digital galleries. It’s worth investing in something tangible to relive your day for years to come.
14. How long do you stay on the day?
Full-day coverage usually runs from morning preparations through to the first dance (8–12 hours). Some of packages include extended coverage if you’d like the party photographed too.
15. How do we secure our booking?
A signed contract and a deposit (typically 25% of the total) are required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due a few weeks before the wedding.
